The beautiful Zanzibar is a fabulous, low maintenance, easy care, indoor plant option. Being a drought tolerant plant, Zanzibar will only need watering every couple of weeks. Wait until the soil is completely dry before giving a soak and let all water drain away. Zanzibar stores water, so under water rather than over water for healthy plant. Place your Zanzibar in any position clear of direct sunlight and wipe it's leaves over with a damp cloth when dusty. It's naturally shiny, waxy, bright dark green foliage (often mistaken for a fake plant) will brighten up any corner of the room. Fertilisation is not generally required but you can give a diluted mix of liquid fertiliser during the summer growing season. They will grow to around 50 - 60cm tall. Keep in mind when positioning your Zanzibar that it is mildly toxic to humans and animals if ingested.
