| Tectorum or Common Houseleek, is a mat forming succulent that spreads out across the ground. Known for is evergreen rosettes with purple tip, Tectorum is easily grown. One of the oldest plants known to man, this plant is hardy and grows quickly with the mother plant stemming out pups that produce their own root system. Tectorum produces a long, thick, hairy stem from their rosette centre that blooms small star shaped pinkish purple flowers in spring. Easy to grow and easy to care for, Tectorum enjoys dry, sandy and rocky grounds and requires little water. Perfect for rockeries or to plant in small cracks in rock walls. |
